Haunted Hayden Bridge?

The Hayden Bridge was built back in 1918 to provide passageway across the Alsea River which it still crosses today.  Hayden is one of fifty covered bridges that can currently be found in Oregon even after many were deemed hazardous and torn down.  While most of these unique bridges reflect romance and art, Hayden seems to display only darkness and fear.  What is it about this bridge that people fear?  Well, for one, it has been said that the bridge is actually alive with the sounds of the dead!  An Urban Legend is born.

Legend has it that not long after the bridge was constructed there was a body found hanging from the rafters inside.  It was the body of a young girl who had, it seemed, tragically taken her own life.  Some say it was a covered up murder, others suspect she was a crazy and depressed child, and still others claim that she never even existed.  In any case, the girl is gone and the bridge remains!

They say that the bridge has been haunted ever since.  Unexplained sights and sounds are claimed to occupy it after dark. Dramatically speaking, perhaps the young girl is trapped (if you will) between this world and the next.  Perhaps Not.  You
